Modernization of the Népfürdő Street Sports Hall and Swimming Center

In early 2024, the modernization of the iconic ELMŰ Sports Complex, originally designed by Ybl Prize-winning architect István Janáky in 1989, was completed. The hall serves as a home for basketball and table tennis training. The project also included the renovation of the neighboring small swimming center, featuring outdoor pools and an elongated changing room building. While preserving the venue’s familiar atmosphere, the pools, water treatment system, support areas, and the changing facility were all upgraded. Additional enhancements included winterizing the pools and partially extending the changing facility to expand services.
